The Eurocup consists of the following regattas:
Regatta 1: Saint Raphaël, France, march 21 - 23. Results
Regatta 2: Riva del Garda, Itally, may 1 - 3. Results
Regatta 3: Travemünde woche, Germany, july 24 - 27. Results Pictures
Regatta 4 and European Championship: Palermo, Italy, october 4- 9. Results
There were 130 boats participating in the Eurocup in 2008. Not quite the 150 we were hoping for. Jens Findel / Johannes Tellen took the Eurocup in grand style with 4 very consistent regattas. Congratulations to them for a very supirior result. Ian Pinnell and Carl Gibbon sailed their second consecutive second place home. With 5 different nations in top 10, the EuroCup is definately a success. A very strong performance from Marco Giraldi and Paolo Corbellini being the other boat to compete in all 4 regattas.
The regatta series for 2009 will be:
St. Raphael, France - april 10 - 12
Riva del Garda - may 21 - 23
Kaloevig, Denmark - june 6- 7 (site for the worlds 2010)
Kiel, Germany - june 24 - 28 (Kielerwoche)
